Whether you choose to arrange for services to be followed by burial, entombment, or cremation, we can advise you on the many choices you may want to consider. For either a funeral or memorial service, you may elect to conduct the services at our chapels, a church or other facility, or at graveside.Our General Price List provides a detailed description of the charges for these services. Also available are several package services which combine the items most often selected with various service types. These package services offer an economic benefit by including either a discount on your choice of casket or an allowance for the purchase of an urn if your choice includes cremation. We will gladly provide you with a copy of our general price list upon request. Obituaries In addition to the obituary and photograph placed on this web site at no charge, we can edit copy and provide for placement of the deceased's obituary in any papers you may request. While there is no additional charge by Marshall & Marshall for this service, each newspaper may add a charge for publication. Coordinating Death Benefits In most instances, we can also notify insurance companies, employers, and other agencies to assist in the filing of death benefits. If desired, we can also accept assignment of life insurance policies in many cases for the funeral expense. This service is also included at no additional charge to our basic services. Our staff is experienced in applying for Veteran benefits. For qualifying veterans, we can arrange for military honors at the graveside, government headstone, death benefits and plot allowance, and securing a flag for burial purposes. We are also familiar with procedures at both the new Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery and the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Your funeral director will assist you in reviewing the options that are available should you wish to consider these benefits. Arranging Music Both of our facilities have well equipped sound systems and music rooms featuring either organ or electronic keyboards for live performances. For those families preferring a live performance, we can arrange for an organist and/or a vocalist from the local communities. We also have an extensive music library on compact disc for those families who may prefer this option. Most special requests for specific music can also be accommodated with 24 hours advance notice. Payment Options For the convenience of our patrons, we offer several options for payment of funeral expenses. We accept payment by cash or check, or additionally Visa, Mastercard or Discover may be presented. For those families who so desire, we also can accept assignment of verifiable life insurance proceeds for policies which have been in force for at least two years. If benefits are sufficient, we are often able to add cash advances for items such as cemetery expenses or floral arrangements to your selections to enable these to all be paid from insurance proceeds. Financing is available for qualified applicants through arrangement with American General Finance Corporation. This service allows families to pay within 90 days with no finance charges, or to select up to 36 months for repayment. There is no application fee for this service and the brief application process can be completed in minutes at the arrangement conference. Cemetery Services Marshall & Marshall maintains full-time staff dedicated to providing comprehensive care in cemetery services. We can arrange for burials at over 20 cemeteries in Hill and surrounding counties for both our patrons and for other funeral homes. In many of these cemeteries, we are the only contractor approved to make interments. Our services include; grave digging; setting outside containers; and providing 16' x 20' chapel style tents, chairs, and lowering equipment for committal services. We also set all markers sold by Marshall & Marshall (where permitted), as well as Veteran's markers provided by the government. In addition to services at time of need, we arrange for disinterments and re-interments on those occasions when a family member may need to be relocated to another cemetery. This service includes securing necessary permits and coordination of work between cemeteries involved, all under the supervision of a licensed funeral director. | ||||||||
