Biography

Aaron Truitt, 94, of Keene passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 in Keene. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, January 13, 2012, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Pastor Phil Robertson of Keene Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Hickey Cemetery near Hillsboro.

Aaron was born September 14, 1917 in Blum, Texas the son of Charles and Nettie (Hodges) Truitt. Aaron grew up in Hill County and lived in the Panhandle and West Texas later. On October 7, 1938, he married Marlene Hixon and she preceded him in death on April 12, 2000. He was a member of Keene Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He was also preceded in death by an infant son; daughters, Joyce Headley and Jeanette Baker; grandson, Randy Headley; and brother Bill Truitt.

He is survived by three brothers, Travis Truitt of Hidalgo, Denzel Truitt of Kerrville, and Donald Truitt of Gainesville; sister, Veta Ruth Carpenter of Weatherford; 2 grandchildren, Wayne Baker and wife, Melody, of Cleburne, and Lisa Kripps and husband, James, of Cleburne; and 4 great-grandchildren, Ryan Baker, Adam Baker, Eryn Kripps, and Kayla Headley.

Memorials may be made to the Adventist Development & Relief Agency, 12501 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, MD 20904.
