Adele Nance, 90, of Hillsboro died Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Adele was born August 6, 1915 in Hillsboro, Texas the daughter of Bozie and Fannie Williford Stanford. She grew up in Hillsboro, where she graduated from high school. For 35 years she lived in Dallas and moved back to Hillsboro 24 years ago. Adele was a devoted housewife and loving mother. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro and the Eastern Star Chapter in Dallas. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Edmond Nance; three brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include her son, Mike Nance and wife, Connie, of Tyler; brother, Sonny Stanford and wife, Janelle, of Hillsboro; sister, Nadine Lentz of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Mickey Nance; Tamye Johnson and husband, Kahler; and Robin DeLaPaz and husband Tommy; two step-grandchildren, Colby Gilmour and Kyle Gilmour; and five great-grandchildren, Lauren Nance, Blake Johnson, Travis Johnson, Emma DeLaPaz, and Hannah DeLaPaz. Memorials may be made to the charity of one?s choice.
