Albert M. Bigon passed away peacefully on May 15, 2012 in Whitney, Texas.
Al was born on the 4th of July 1938 in Granger, Texas where he was raised on his family’s farm and attended school. He left home for Grand Prairie where he worked in maintenance for 16 years at Six Flags over Texas. He later moved to Lake Whitney where he spent most of his life. He was a skilled electrician and refrigeration mechanic. He loved working with his hands. When he wasn’t working in his garden, there was nothing that he couldn’t fix. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman. He never met a stranger and would do anything for his friends.
Al was preceded in death by his mother Annie (Zavodny) Bigon, his father John Bigon, and his brother Edward Bigon.
Survivors include his wife Nora (Otts) Bigon, sons, Eric Bigon of Palm Harbor, Florida and David Bigon of Whitney, step daughter Natrell Cain of Monahans, step son Amon Otts of Throckmorton, brothers John Bigon Jr. of Taylor, Daniel Bigon of Roseville, Cal. and a sister Bernice Neigut of San Antonio, four grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local hospice for all the wonderful things that they do.
