Albert Essex

Albert Leon Essex, Sr, 86, went to be with our Lord on Monday, September 10, 2012. Services will be at 9:00 AM, Thursday, September 13, at the Marshall and Marshall Chapel with Rev. Mike Kerzee of King Memorial United Methodist Church and Rev. John Stocks of Kaufman County Christian Center officiating. Interment will be a private family service at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, September, 12, from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM at the funeral home.

Albert was born at Baylor Hospital on June 24, 1926, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Thomas Leon and Audrey (Allen) Essex. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was in the insurance business and was a member of King Memorial United Methodist Church in Whitney.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister; and a grandson.

Survivors include his children, Alan Essex and wife Dreda, Kim Lobrecht and husband John, Pam Pieper and husband Bill, and Bruce Essex and wife Sharon; brothers, Billy Essex and wife Ernestine and Tommy Essex; sister, Francis Flynn; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
