Alberta R. Dickson 94, of Clifton, passed away on August 1, 2015 at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Whitney with Rev. Stephanie Williams, officiating. Burial will follow at 1 PM, at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.

Alberta was born on January 25, 1921 in Sealy, Texas to the late Albert Fritz and Ella Sophia (Kenter) Hageman. She married Frederick Alexander Dickson on October 18, 1948 and he preceded her in death in April 1981. Alberta grew up in Sealy and moved to Houston when she was a young lady. She enjoyed being outdoors working in her yard and garden. Her other pastimes were sewing, doing puzzles, and being a big sports fan. She volunteered for many activities at her church. However, her greatest joy was raising and taking care of her family, she loved to cook and was very good at it.

She is preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her son Wayne Dickson and wife, Kathy, of Houston; daughter Donna Dickson Bullard and husband, Roger of Laguna Park; grandsons, Matthew Dickson of Houston, Jordan Bullard of Laguna Park, Joel Bullard of Haslett; grandaughters, Stephanie Kearney of Houston and Erin Ferry of Maypearl.


Memorials may be made to Goodall- Witcher Nursing Facility, 101 N. Ave T, Clifton, Texas 76634 or to the Lutheran Sunset Hospice, P.O. Box 71, Clifton, TX 76634.
