Alice Rovelia (Mccall) Broxton

Alice Rovelia McCall Broxton was born on August 21, 1933, in Hunter, Arkansas to Franklin Arthur McCall and Ora Mae Johnson McCall and left this world for a better place on October 12, 2021, at her home in Lake Whitney, at the age of 88.  She was surrounded by family when she passed.

Ms. Alice, as she was known to her family and many friends, was an active member of the Open Range Cowboy Church in Lake Whitney, especially with the Women of Worship (WOW), and was the District Sargent at Arms of the Texas State Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion.  She was a proud American and loved her country and all of those who served in its military.

Alice is survived by her children, Jesse Owen and wife, Joan; Brenda Crane and husband, Matt; Virginia Merkel; Gordon Owen and wife, Grace, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sisters, Caroline Osburn, Bonnie Johnson, Louise Chambers, and brother, Jerry McCall.  Alice’s parents, sister Mary Isabelle Frazier, brothers Jim McCall, Lonnie McCall and John McCall, and son David Eli Owen predeceased her.

Services will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Open Range Cowboy Church.  In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to WOW/ Open Range Cowboy Church or to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Whitney American Legion.
