Alice Covey-Overton

Alice Fay Covey Overton 70, of Whitney passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015. A visitation will be held from 6:00- 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Alice was born on December 9, 1944 in San Saba, Texas to Johnnie and Dena
(Peel ) Covey. She grew up in Hillsboro and was married to Jerry Don Overton on November 18, 1997 he preceded her in death on November 4, 2003.

Alice was an artist and enjoyed all types of crafting she also loved working in her garden. Family was very important to her and the best times was when she spent time with them. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Kerry Allen Williams; sister, Patricia Ann Erwin and brother, David Covey.

Survivors include her children, Tammy Williams Jones, Mickey Williams, Patsy Elaine Pledger, Dena Fuller Wesley, Belinda Jo Erwin; brothers, Tony Covey, Paul Covey, John Covey; sisters, Nelda Covey, Sharon Covey, Connie Covey Coble, Terry Covey Lightsey and 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
