Alijah "Nugget" Anthony Lightfoot

Alijah (Nugget) Anthony Lightfoot, age 3, went to be with his grandpa, Timothy Nichols on July 21, 2024. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Marshall and Marshall. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory.

Alijah was born on November 1, 2020 in Abilene, Texas to his wonderful and loving mother, Hannah Nichols. Hannah and Alijah from the day he was born had a bond that could not be broken, it was them against the world. He had a laugh that could shake the Heavens and a smile that was a beacon of light through your darkest of days. Alijah's Nana was his best friend, at one point in time she decided his nickname would be "nugget" and from there it stuck. Nugget was always happy unless he was not feeling the best and he always had a way of bringing a smile to your face no matter how bad your day was. He was a strong, spunky, silly, and perfect little boy to everyone that loved him and knew him. July 29, 2022, Hannah and Jamie met, from there, their family of 2 became a family of 3; Jamie and Nugget shared a special bond that no one could ever possibly understand, but you could tell that Nugget loved him and trusted him from the moment those two met. He was the center of his great-grandparents world, his Papa's favorite memory of him was the time they were riding around on his golf cart and Nugget was just laughing and smiling while they rode around; his Nanny's favorite memory was the times that he would get ahold of his blanket and try to wiggle his way under her couch. Nuggets Mimi loved to hold and snuggle with him every chance she could get. Nugget and his Uncle T were partners in crime, always finding something to get into together. Nugget also gained another nickname, his Uncle Dave and Mammy gave him the nickname "Button"; Uncle Dave and Button were very close, the way they communicated was through Dave making a gurgling noise with his throat that sounded like chewbacca and that is how Button knew his Uncle Dave was around. Button also became bestfriends with his cousin, Michael Dean, the two shared so much laughter and smiles over the last two years, Michael is going to miss his bestest friend so much.

Nugget is preceded in death by his grandpa, Timothy Nichols.

Left to cherish Nuggets memory is his loving mother and father, Hannah Nichols and Jamie Cook; Nana, Dana Nichols; Papa, Gary Watts; Nanny, Christa Watts; Mimi, Delores Allmon; uncles and aunts, Tristan Nichols, Michael Crawford and wife Kinzie and David Reagan and wife Lexy (Mammy); and several extended family members.
