Allynne Murphy

Allynne ?Lynne? Virginia Murphy, 74, of Whitney, Texas passed away Thursday, January 3, 2008, in Providence Hospital. She was born in the ?old Providence? on January 5, 1933 to Austin V. and Libbie Horak Owen in Waco. Lynne attended Waco public schools and graduated from Waco High in 1950. She earned a degree from 4C College in Waco and for many years followed a career as a secretary. She retired from Headquarters - Army and Air Force Exchange Service in Dallas in 1995. On December 31, 1950, she married Cecil N. Murphy, Jr. in Waco. After retirement they moved to Lake Whitney in 1997. Preceding her in death were her parents and sister-in-law, Betty Smiley Lane Owen. Lynne is survived by her husband of 57 years, Cecil; sons, Michael Wayne and wife, Sheryl of Colleyville, Larry Paul and wife, Sandy of Lee?s Summit, MO., David Owen and friend, Laura Benzenhoefer of Whitney and daughter, Kay Lynne and friend, Carla Walker of Waco; brother, Austin Virgil Owen, Jr. and wife, Reenee of Dallas; grandchildren, Chad Murry Murphy and wife, Michelle of Lewisville, Shelby Lynne Murphy of Colleyville, Eric Scott Murphy and financee, Taylor Conder, Heather Nicole Murphy of Lee?s Summit, MO.; great grandchildren, Hunter Scott Murphy, Paige Elizabeth Murphy of Lewisville and numerous nieces and nephews.
