Alton Hemphill

Alton Leon Hemphill 93, of Springtown, passed away on January 29, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Officiating will be Rev. John Conway.

Alton was born on December 6, 1920, in Memphis, Texas, to the late Frank and Maudie Hemphill. He served his country in World War II as a Seaman 1st Class, in the United States Navy. He worked as a long haul truck driver, hauling heavy equipment. Preceding him in death was his wife Hazel,on February 24, 1995.
