Alton Radke

Alton O. ?Buddy? Radke, 83, of Hillsboro died Monday, August 6, 2007, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Alton was born March 12, 1924 near Bynum, Texas the son of Otto and Matilda Piel Radke. He was baptized March 25, 1924 and confirmed April 10, 1938 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Malone. Alton married Lenora Piel on February 28, 1942 and they were married for 65 years. From March 1945 to May 1946 he served as an infantry man in the Pacific as a medic. He was employed as an assembler with Bell-Helicopter until he retired. Preceding him in death were his parents; two sons, Larry Gene Radke in 1965 and Roy Alton Radke in 1989; three brothers, Lafon, Alvin, and Olin Radke; and three sisters, Ella Degner, Lenora Trojan, and Nelda Schulz. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Lenora Radke of Hillsboro; son, Darrell Radke of Bynum; grandson, Jody Lynn Radke and wife, Christina, of Bynum; two great-grandchildren, Christopher Lynn Radke and Jade Lee Radke both of Bynum; brother, Lother Radke and wife, Lillie, of Bynum.
