Alvin Arnold, 75, of Lewisville died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Carrollton Health and Rehab. Alvin was born June 22, 1933 in Hillsboro the son of John B. and Edna Lucille Garrett Arnold. On August 25, 1956 he married Shirley Miller in Hillsboro. He served his country in the National Guard for several years. For many years he was a route salesman for Pure Milk Company and later became a route salesman for Mrs. Bairds Bread, retiring in 1996. After retirement, he worked at Waco Airport as a security guard. An avid fisherman, Alvin was a member of the Waco Bass Club. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Cecil and Leon Arnold; and two sisters, Dorothy Byrd and Ruth Taylor. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Arnold of Lewisville; two sons, Jeff Arnold and wife, Stephanie, of Lewisville and Mike Arnold and wife, Brenda, of China Spring; brother, Ken Arnold and wife, Nancy, of Hillsboro; sister, LuJeane Adcock and husband, Herb, of Iowa Park, TX; two granddaughters, Mackenzie and Zoe Arnold both of Lewisville; one grandson, Tanner Arnold of China Spring; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
