Alvis Sonnenberg

Alvis Lee Sonnenberg, 69, of Waco, formerly of Bynum, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Providence Health Care Center in Waco. Memorial graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Rev. Michael Nemec officiating.

Alvis was born December 6, 1942 in Bynum to the late L. D. and Hattie (Huse) Sonnenberg. After his parents passed away when he was a young child, he was raised by his uncle and aunt, Lother and Lillie Radke. He graduated from Bynum High School and served in the Army National Guard. Alvis enjoyed bird hunting. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro.

Survivors include his brother, Jim Sonnenberg and wife, Glenna, of Waxahachie; sister, Gwenda R. Carter of Tyler; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
