Alvoria Coffman (Sister) Bonds

Alvoria (Sister) Petty Coffman Bonds, 93, of Richland Hills, formerly of Whitney, passed away on May 1, 2018 in Richland Hills. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 4, 2018, at Prairie Valley Cemetery near Whitney with Rev. Eddie Booth officiating. Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney are in charge of the arrangements.

Alvoria was born on December 29, 1924, in Prairie Valley, to Eliga and Rachel (Rainbolt) Petty and grew up in Whitney and Lueders, areas. She married Wanna Coffman and he preceded her in death in 1991 and would later marry Hayward Bonds who also preceded her in death.

She was a beautician for many years. Gardening was one of her favorite pastimes and she always kept a garden and loved tending to her yard. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by a sister, Peggy McMillen of Louisiana; several nieces, Donna Reames, Sandra Stone, Karen Thomas, Debbie Dow, Terri Lewellyn, and Cynthia Howell as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
