Andrew Lee Young

Andrew Lee Young, 63, of Weatherford passed away Friday, June 7, 2019, at Medical City in Fort Worth. Memorial graveside services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Smith Bend Coon Creek in Bosque County with Rev. Diane Barnes officiating.

Andrew was born July 19, 1955, in Shamokin, Pennsylvania to Geoffrey Allen and Albina (Feudale) Young. He attended schools in Irving and graduated from Irving High School in 1973. On September 28, 1994, Andrew was united in marriage to Cindy Tekell. At the time of his passing, he was employed with H.T. Barr Inc. in Aledo, Texas as a truck driver. Andrew enjoyed watching sports on T.V., as well as working on old cars, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns fan.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, John Young.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Cindy Young; children, Chadd Young of Powell, OK and Cody Young and wife, Dana, of Powell, OK; brothers-in-law, Larry Tekell and wife, Candy, of Itasca, TX and Jay Tekell of Italy; sister-in-law, Jill Martin and husband, Jeff, of Flower Mound, TX; grandchildren, Carla Young and Chayce Young, both of Powell, OK; several nieces and nephews; a host of friends; and his pet companion, Sadie.
