Angela Wiseman

She was the daughter of Charles Auther and Nancy Abby Thaxton Smalley. Married John Peewee Wiseman on May 1, 1933 in Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on March 14, 1980. She received her Associate degree from Tarleton State and started teaching school at Island Grove, and then taught at Woodrow School. Then she worked for Wiseman Brothers Grocery in Covington. While teaching at Covington, she attended TWC in Fort Worth and received her four year degree. Later she received her masters degree in Elementary education. Angela taught Sunday school at the First Baptist Church for many years where she was a member. She loved to teach children and the Angela B. Wiseman Elementary School in Covington was named in her honor. Preceding her in death was her parents, one son Donald Charles Wiseman and one sister, Tommie Siratt. She was survived by her son Johnny Wiseman and wife Donna P. of Covington; one brother, Jake Smalley of Grandview; two Granddaughters; Rebecca J. Wiseman of Arlington, Angela B. Rodgers and husband Bruce of Saginaw; and three Great-granddaughters, Alexus L. Maldonado, Diana Louise Rodgers, and Sara Brook Rodgers of Saginaw.
