Anita Stinson, 86, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Graveside services will held at Noon on Monday, December 31, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro with Mr. Nicholas Dean Hibbs officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Monday prior to the graveside at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Anita was born March 21, 1926 in Loco, Oklahoma to Marion and Oma Jones. She grew up in Mertens and lived in Waxahachie until moving to Hillsboro in 1970. She married Donald Stinson and he preceded her in death in 1972.
Anita liked to read romance books, listen to music, and as a youth she loved to ice skate. Some of her other favorite past times were cooking, listening to Billy Graham, and watching soap operas. She was a member of the Optimist Club, past brownie troop leader, and was of the Baptist faith.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Weldon Jones.
Survivors include her four children, Donald Stinson and wife, Cindy, of Waxahachie, Michael Stinson of Ruidoso, NM, Cynthia Hibbs and husband, Billy, of Manor, and Tommy Stinson of Leonard; two brothers, Kenneth Jones and wife, Jerri, of Waco and Wayland Jones of Little Rock, AR; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Memorial may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 4100 Alpha Rd. Suite 100, Dallas, TX 75244.
