Sharon Davis

Ann Sharon Davis passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2025. A service to remember and honor Sharon will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, Texas. A visitation will take place at 1:00 PM, before the service.

Sharon was born in Milford, Texas, on June 16, 1942, to Horace and Montrue Hardin. She spent her childhood in Milford, where she developed a love for ballet, which she pursued throughout her life. She attended Baylor University and Southern Methodist University before marrying Spotswood Davis in July 1960. Even after their marriage, she continued her education.

In 1961, Sharon gave birth to Jeff, followed five years later by Jason. They settled into life in Dallas. She worked several jobs before becoming a personal secretary at a venture capital company and later retired from Dallas Semiconductor. While raising Jeff and Jason, she enjoyed playing indoor soccer well into her fifties. Sharon survived hunting and fishing trips with Spotswood and friends, but she was happiest on the beach on South Padre Island. She loved taking annual trips with friends and family.

Sharon was fun-loving and outgoing, always happy to be around loved ones. She was well known for her deep affection for animals, particularly her beloved cat, Cheddar. Her caring nature extended beyond her pets, as she volunteered with Operation Kindness.

Preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Montrue Hardin, she is survived by her husband, Spotswood Davis; and her two sons, Jeff and Jason Davis.
