Ann Heath, 79, of Whitney passed away on October 28, 2004 at her residence. She was the daughter of Austin and Mae Randall Melcher. She was raised in Detroit and went to college in Milwaukee. She moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1948 and worked for her first occupational therapy job. She worked for 25 years as a occupational therapist. She married Douglas Heath on July 18, 1950 in Hillsboro, Texas at the Church of Christ. They moved to Whitney in 1983 and opened D & A Super Stop in 1984. She was a member of the Whitney Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Stephen Heath. Survivors include her husband, Doug of Whitney; children, Karen Pearson and husband, David of Whitney, Mike Heath and wife, Sadie of Odessa, Dale Heath of Marble Falls; brothers, Tom Bojinoff of Michigan, Richard Melcher of Michigan, Joel Melcher of Canada; sisters, Sue Claycomb of Maryland, Betty Erickson of Minnesota, Mary Lou Melcher of Massachusetts; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
