Biography

Letha Ann Molotsky, who just celebrated her 80th birthday, was called home by the Lord on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at her residence after a long and heroic struggle with kidney disease and cancer. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Mr. Glen MacDonald of Hillsboro Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, April 10, at the funeral home. A second visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 12, at Johnson’s Funeral Home in San Angelo. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2015, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo.

Ann was born March 29, 1935 in Mereta, TX to Frank and Erna (Grelle) Hooker. She grew up in San Angelo and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse in 1954. On March 17, 1973, she was united in marriage to Sol Molotsky. For many years, she traveled as a military wife and worked in geriatrics. Ann was a woman of great elegance and style. She loved to cook, decorate cakes and in her spare time she enjoyed going fishing and camping. She was a member of Hillsboro Church of Christ and a very dedicated and loyal member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Ann was also a member of Les Causeuses Club in Hillsboro.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters; and a son-in-law, Steve Askins.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Sol Molotsky of Hillsboro; three children, Vicky Askins of Irving, Martin Molotsky and wife, Deedra, of Bangs, and Julie Molotsky of Moore, OK; eleven grandchildren, Dustin and wife, Lindsay, Shane, Heather and husband, Travis, Chase, Dalton, Danielle, Avery, Hayden, Wendy, Braston, and Merrick; and four great-grandchildren, Caden, Kelton, Jacob, and Charlotte.

The family would like to thank Providence Hospice for all of their care.
