Anna Loucille Jeffrey Hilton of the Mayfield Community passed away at the age of 93 years and 322 days at 4:40 P.M., April 08, 2013. She passed at her beloved home of 60 years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Eric Black of First Baptist Church, Covington officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Itasca Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Tim Rogers, Dan Rogers, Ronnie Henry, Virgil Hilton, Nathan Hight and Joe Kendell. Jeff Burt is serving as an honorary pallbearer.
Loucille was born in Cooper, Texas on May 21,1919 to Ralph and Emma Lee (Ballow) Jeffrey, one of six children. On July 10, 1937, she married Brian Leslie Hilton in Glen Rose and they were married for 71 years. She loved to sew, cook, and can vegetables out of her garden and do yard work. She was also an immaculate house keeper. In California during the depression, she and husband, Brian, picked cotton and grapes . They were also long-time members of Mayfield Baptist Church in Mayfield until it was disbanded in 1981.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Brian Leslie Hilton; daughter, Shirley Anita Hilton Jacobs of Mayfield; her parents, Ralph and Emma Lee Jeffrey; two brothers, Chester and RC Jeffrey; and one sister, Lois Jeffrey Sultzer of California.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Darlene Hilton Westbury and husband, Ronny, of Mayfield; one sister, Dorothy Williams, and one brother, Raymond Jeffrey, both of California; six grandchildren, Gary Jacobs, Denise Ayers, Leslie Jacobs, Mechelle Westbury, Ryan Westbury and Chad Westbury; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
