Annette Pace

Annette Rice Pace, 73, of Sachse passed away from a stroke on Saturday, May 19, 2018, in a Plano hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Zoltan Kelemen officiating. Burial will be at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Annette was born on January 1, 1945, in Orange County, California. She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1963 and from Southwestern Oklahoma University with a degree in elementary education. On January 23, 1965, she married Dwight Pace. They started “dating” when they were 12 years old and have been together since then. Annette enjoyed music, reading, spending time with her family and friends, working with Dallas CASA and the Andrew’s Center, movies, cooking and current events. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving and kind person that loved to tell stories.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Pearl Rice and father, Gordon “Dumpy” Rice of Hillsboro.

Annette is survived by her husband, Dwight Pace of Sachse; daughter, Beth McCauley, son-in-law, Steve McCauley, and their son, Will, of Sachse; daughter, Laura Hynson, son-in-law, Todd Hynson, and their children, Pace and Ella, of Coppell; sister, Karen Nippert and husband, Derrill, of Childress; and numerous nieces and nephews.
