Arthur was born on November 11, 1930 in Fort Worth, Texas; the son of the late Herman and Pearlie Gray Faram. He spent most of his life in Whitney. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Whitney American Legion Post #522 and served as past commander from 1995 - 1996 and 1999 - 2001. He had worked as an optometrist for Texas State Optical for many years before his retirement. Also preceding him in death were his daughter, Karan Crichton; brother, Wilton Woods and sister, Wilma Martin. Survivors include his children, Arthur Faram, Jr. of Pasadena, CA., Mark Faram of Escondido CA., Michael Faram of Monrovia, CA., Nancy Faram of Chula Vista, CA; sisters, Sibie Cartwright of North Richland Hills, TX., Christine Kelly of New Orleans, LA.; 7 grandchildren, Corey Gooch, Michelle Duncan, Jennifer Thomas, Steven Bustos, Ashley Faram, Michael Faram, and Emily Bustos; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and also his extended American Legion family.
