Atrelle Connolly

She was the daughter of Marcus Andrew and Bessie Marie Ingram Findley. She grew up in Whitney and graduated from Whitney High School and Hillsboro Junior College. She taught school for 12 years at various Hill County schools. She was city secretary for 29 years in Whitney and worked for the Whitney Housing Authority for 35 years. Atrelle married Strat Connolly on September 4, 1964 and he preceeded her in death November 15, 1976. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for many years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters; Sibyl Lott, Sylvas Saunders, and Bettye Smith. Survivors:Daughter: Sarah Stellabotte of Whitney, Brother: Horace Findley and wife, Phyllis of Whitney; Sister: Billie Barnett of Whitney; grandchildren: Tonya Deggs and husband, Cody of Gatesville; Wendy Dove and husband, Butch of Whitney and Stephen Frank Jr. of Whitney great-grandchildren: Heather Whiddon, Colton Rios, Brandon Frank, Victoria Langley and Garrett Langley all of Whitney. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of friends, love ones and neighbors.
