Auline Bailey

Auline was the daughter of George and Belle Crawford Lowery. She grew up in Nacogdoches and graduated from Stephen F. Austin University. On October 31, 1942 she married Oran Bright Bailey, and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1980. For 20 years she taught elementary school, and then became Dean of Women at Baylor University for 10 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Also preceding her in death were seven brothers. Survivors include: two sons, George Bailey of Hillsboro and John Bailey of Houston; and two grandsons, John and Jason Bailey.
