Ava Griffin

Ava Griffin, 86, of Hillsboro died Friday, May 29, 2009, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Ava was born August 29, 1922 in Hillsboro, Texas the daughter of John and Naomi Brunson Andrews. Except for living for a short time in San Diego, CA, she had lived all of her life in Hillsboro. She worked at the Hillsboro Clinic and Family Diagnostic Medical Center for a total of 45 years in the medical field. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Katherine Acker. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Faulknor and husband, Henry, of Hillsboro; brother, Vaughn Andrews of Waco; two sisters, Eula Wells and husband, Edmond, of Waco and Billie Dossett of Richardson; two grandsons, Mike Faulknor and wife, Brandy and Mark Faulknor and wife, Jennifer; and five great-grandchildren.
