Barbara Ballew

Barbara Ballew, 69, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at her residence. Barbara was born September 26, 1937 in Blum, Texas the daughter of Earl and Ruby McElroy Waits. She grew up in Fort Worth. On September 4, 1954 she married Harold Ballew and he preceded her in death on November 5, 1993. In 1966 they moved to Hillsboro. For 22 years she worked for Tucker Lumber Company in Hillsboro. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, Debbie Pearson; and a grandson, Kevin Ballew. Survivors include her children, Richard Ballew and wife, Vicki, of Haltom City, Randy Ballew of Hillsboro, and Susan Crabtree and husband, Steve, of Burleson; brothers, Charles Waits and wife, Joyce, of Tyler, Jimmy Waits and wife, Linda, of Abilene, and Danny Wreay and wife, Sherry, of Newark; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
