Barbara Ann Poston, 72, of Woodbury passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012, at James L. West Hospice House in Fort Worth. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Old Woodbury Cemetery in Woodbury with Rev. Stanley Lohse officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Barbara was born December 22, 1939 in Maypearl to Ben and Vera (Williams) May. On December 6, 1957 she married Warner E. Poston in Hillsboro.
She was a long-time employee of Spartan Copper Company and Town Square Furniture. For several years, she worked in the cafeteria at Hillsboro ISD until her retirement in 1996.
An avid bird watcher, Barbara also enjoyed tracing family history, genealogy, and spending time on the family website on the computer. She was very devoted to her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the Woodbury Baptist Church in Woodbury.
Preceding her in death were her parents, five brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband Warner E. Poston of Woodbury; three children, Robert W. Poston and wife, Carrie, of Arlington, David W. Poston and wife, Araceli, of Evant, and Holly Kemp and husband, Greg, of Arlington; four sisters, Nancy Peart and husband, Richard and Sue Waller and husband, James, all of White Settlement, Linda Rumble of Azle, and Evelyn Duncan and husband, Jim, of Duncanville; six grandchildren, Brandie Lynn Poston of Fort Worth, Robert Poston, Jr., of Benbrook, Laura and Nolan Getty both of Arlington, and J. C. Horn and Lexi Poston both of Evant; and two great-grandchildren.
