Barbara Williams

Barbara Jean Williams, 77, of Alvarado passed away peacefully Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Alvarado Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Barbara was born April 16, 1934 in Hillsboro. Her early life was spent in Hillsboro and later the family moved to Fort Worth. She retired in 1980 from Southwestern Bell/AT&T Telephone Company and loved spending her leisure time working with her many flowers and plants. Also, she was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and University of Texas Longhorn football teams.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, George Cooper Williams; her parents, Fred and Ruby Tate; and her brother, Fred Tate, Jr. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Sharon Ducey of Norwell, MA
