Barney Lee Hale, 76 of Whitney passed away on November 15, 2011.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 21, 2011 at Mansfield Cemetery in Mansfield with Mr. Bruce Martin and Mr. Wendell McPherson officiating. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday afternoon at Whitney Church of Christ. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.
Barney was born on March 6, 1935 in Grandview; the son of the late O. E. Hale, Jr. and Anna Lee (Persons) Hale. On May 31, 2000, he married Tonia Bullard in Whitney. He had worked as an self employed carpenter and retired in 1998. Barney was an avid fisherman and hunter and a member of the Whitney Church of Christ.
He was also preceded by his son, Bart Hale.
Survivors include his wife, Tonia of Whitney; son, Ben Hale and wife, Laurie of Alvarado; brother, Otis Hale and wife, Norma of Grandview; 3 granddaughters, Brittany Lee and husband, Jesse of Arlington, Lauren Evans and husband, Klint of Grandview, Brenna Hale of Alvarado; great grandson, Wyatt Evans of Grandview and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
