Beatrice Ivie

Beatrice "Granny" Ivie, 85, of Hillsboro went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at Hill Regional Hospital. Beatrice was born July 1, 1920 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Joseph William and Ora Bell Franklin Harris, where she grew up and spent all of her life. On October 2, 1937 she married Johnny Ellis Ivie and he preceded her in death on July 9, 1952. She was a housewife and a member of the Hillsboro Church of The Nazarene. Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Francis Faye Shatwell on April 6, 1981; three brothers; and one sister. Survivors include her children, Johnny Orville Ivie of Whitney, Herman Edward Ivie of Cleburne, Charles Ellis Ivie of Burleson, Nell Ruth Hooker of Bynum, Ora Catherine Cathey of Hillsboro, Betty JoAnn Buchanan of Lorena, and Joyce Marie Williams of Streetman; 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
