Belinda Taylor

Belinda “Bo” Taylor, 62, of Whitney, passed away on October 10, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 15, 2018 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney. A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home

Belinda was born on July 25, 1956, in Hillsboro, to John and Shirley (West) Hughes and grew up in the Whitney / Hillsboro area. A jewelry designer, she worked in New York City where she designed and made jewelry and she continued her jewelry design work at home. For 16 years, she worked for Superior Installation as an installer.


In her spare time, Belinda loved to go fishing and would go every chance she had. She also enjoyed listening to all of type of music.

On October 10, 2010, she married Terry Taylor in Hillsboro. A very giving person, she opened her home to anyone in need. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #522 and was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister Terri Sue Redman.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Taylor; children, Cory Ann Taylor and Steven Taylor; a foster daughter, Destini Bradshaw; a grandson, Benjamin Taylor; brothers, Johnny Hughes and Jimmy Hughes; and several nieces and nephews.
