Biography

Benjamin Franklin Hopkins, Jr., 64, of Whitney passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018, at his residence. His family will host a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018, at the First Church of The Nazarene in Whitney.

Born April 6, 1954, in Baton Rouge, LA, he was the son of Corinne (Callaway) and Benjamin Franklin Hopkins, Sr. He served his country in the United States Army. Benjamin will be remembered by many for his portrayal of Santa Claus. He was the last survivor of his siblings.

Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Young of Westbrook.
