Bentley Graham, 95, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in Hillsboro. Bentley was born September 9, 1912 in Waco, Texas the daughter of Earl Fayne and Myra Cecilia Zagorski Hooks. She graduated from Waco High School and lived in Lacy Lakeview during her youth, where she met her future husband. On August 6, 1932 she married Mack Graham. During Mack's Navy service, the couple lived in San Diego for two years. Shortly after returning to Texas, they moved to Hillsboro where they would remain. This August the couple would have celebrated their 75th anniversary. For 32 years she was the bookkeeper for the John Deere dealership in Hillsboro. She loved to play bridge and would play twice a week or more. Bentley was a generous, kind person who gave to those in need without seeking recognition for herself. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro, where she was an active member of the Women's Society, Hillsboro Country Club, Ladies Golf Association in Hillsboro and Whitney, and past member of Philotechnos Club. Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Fayne Frances; a brother, Thomas Arthur Hooks; and a great-grandson, Evan Ross. Survivors include her husband, Mack Graham of Hillsboro; two children, Grady Graham and wife, Betty, of Grapevine and Mary Graham of Temple; a sister, Ola Fay Linum of Springdale, Arkansas; three grandsons, Grady Mack Graham, Jr. of Little Elm, Kevin Scott Ross of Houston, and Brian Keith Ross of Temple; four great-grandchildren, Brianna Graham and Michael Graham both of Little Elm, Brooklynn Ross of Granbury, and Meredith Norton Ross of Temple; and several caregivers including Betty Davidson.
