Bernita Blondell (Abels) Bartley

Bernita Blondell (Ables) Bartley, born January 10, 1941, to John Herman and Grace Abels, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, in Blum, TX.  She married the love of her life, Donald Bartley, on February 5, 1959. She was loved fiercely by her family and is well-known in the community of Whitney, TX, as "Granny" and co-owner of two businesses: BOTRE and Don's Air Conditioning.

Bernita is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Don Bartley: son, Ralph Bartley; and sister, Gloria Carpenter.

Survivors include son, Glenn Bartley; grandchildren- Rena Reynolds, Cara Smith and husband, Daryl, Brandon Bartley and wife, Samantha, Justin Bartley and partner, Maygan, Hollie Bartley and partner, Ryan, Jessica Bartley, Kyle Bartley and wife, Kassie, Nathan Bartley; along with 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, brother, Bill Ables, sister, Kay Norris, and sister in-law, Julia Wilson.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Whitney Memorial Park Cemetery in Whitney, Texas
