Bertie Curry

Bertie E. Curry, 87, formerly of Lake Whitney, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014, at the Danville Regional Hospital in Danville, Virginia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2014, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro.

Born June 9, 1927 in Liberty, she was the daughter of Bert and Ruby (Vick) Tennis. She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ. Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include her three children, Glenn Hitt of Dry Fork, Virginia, Kurt Hitt of Boca Raton, Florida, and Vicki Kent of Houston; granddaughter, Patience Sanchez of Houston; and two nieces, Linda Rogers and Brenda Franks.
