Bessie Brooks

Bessie E. Brooks, 93, of Hillsboro died Friday, September 28, 2007, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Bessie was born August 3, 1914 in Hill County, Texas, where she lived all of her life, the daughter of John Dudley and Josephine Patterson Williams. In 1932 she married Homer Brooks and they lived in the Vaughan Community. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1957. She was a housewife and member of College Hill Church of Christ. Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Jeanelle Brooks; three brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include her children, Kenneth M. Brooks of Hillsboro, Jeannette Davidson and husband, Kenneth, of Hewitt, and Linda Reid and husband, Kenneth, of Peoria; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
