Bessie Hair Tittmann, 92, of Hubbard passed away Monday, November 21, 2011, at her residence. Memorial services will held at a later date.
Bessie was born September 27, 1919, the 2nd to the youngest child and the 6th child of the late Albert Glenn and Lenner Estella (Cabaniss) Hair. She was born on a horse ranch in Fort Worth and delivered by a veterinarian. She met Gorge Otto Tittmann with the help of her older sister, Gladys. Gladys had their mother go with them to a friends home for a hair cut and had arranged for George to be there. When it was time to leave, George offered Bessie a ride home. They were married on March 5, 1948 in Alhambra, CA. They lived in Compton and then in Torrance, CA for 47 years. After George passed away on June 21, 1991, Bessie continued to lived there for 9 years. In September 2000, she moved to Hubbard to live with her family. Bessie loved to camp and watch her TV. She would always call up the family to wish them a Happy Birthday. She was always a strong Christian lady, who taught her daughters and through her great-grandchildren how to stand firm in our belief and Love Our Lord Jesus Christ, Our Savior. She will rest next to her husband in the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside County, CA and next to her father in North Belton Cemetery in Bell County, TX.
Survivors include daughters Nadine M. Nabors and husband, Robert, and Darlene A. Thompson; grandchildren, Tamra C. and Neal R. Smith; and great-grandchildren, Kyle C. and Clayton C. Nunn and Ryland C. Smith.
