Beth Stubblefield, 76, of Hillsboro died Monday, December 25, 2006, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Beth was born August 7, 1930 in Corpus Christi, Texas the daughter of Philip Louis and Mary Novis Glass Forstner. At the age of 6 she moved to Hillsboro where she attended schools, graduating from Hillsboro High School in 1947. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from North Texas State College in 1951. On June 23, 1951 she married C. H. ?Stubby? Stubblefield in the First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. During the 1970's, she taught 6th grade at Hillsboro Junior High School. She was an active supporter of the Hillsboro Band Boosters for many years, and served as a leader for the cub scouts, boy scouts, and girl scouts. A member of First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro, she was instrumental in the organization of the bell choir, participated in the quilters group, and served as a communion steward. She was also a member of the Sesame Club in Hillsboro. Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Philip Louis Forstner. Six things Beth loved the most were the Lord God Almighty, her family, her church family, friends and neighbors, Hillsboro, Texas, and Texas A&M. Survivors include her husband, C. H. ?Stubby? Stubblefield of Hillsboro; children, Ches Stubblefield and wife, Linda, of Austin, Nancy Reinhart and husband, Charlie, of Longview, and Julie Barton and husband, Karey, of Dripping Springs; brother, Col. Charles Forstner and wife, Gayle, of The Woodlands; five grandchildren, Erika Stubblefield of Austin, Philip Doskocil of Killeen, Laura Doskocil of Forest City, Iowa, Ali Calderon and husband, Nathan, of Houston, and Alex Burton of San Marcos; one great-grandson, Coby Doskocil of Forest City, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 673, Hillsboro, TX 76645.
