Betty Ann Baker, 67, of Hallsburg, Texas, formerly of West, Texas, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, February 20, 2008, quietly at home with family. Betty was born January 25, 1941 in Fort Worth, Texas the daughter of Lilburn and Inez Long Bledsue of Hallsburg. On January 8, 1982 she married Dennis Lee Baker in West. For 26 years, she worked at the Czech American Restaurant in the West Auction Barn. A heck of a 42 domino player, Betty was a proud mother with a fierce love of God and family. She loved life and inspired everyone she came in contact with. Her deepest desire was that her life would be lived as an example of God's love. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Hallsburg and an official member of the Nosey Neighborhood Watch. Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Tommy Bledsue. Survivors incldue her husband, Dennis Lee Baker of Hallsburg; children, Wanda Kay Burn and husband, Ruben of Hubbard, Jimmy Doyle Dorris and wife, Anita, of Waco, Ray Dorris and wife, Jeanne, of Hallsburg, Dana Wendt of Waco, Jamie Gavlik of Hewitt, and Jennifer Baker of North Dakota; two brothers, L. B. Bledsue and wife, Carolyn, and Larry Lee Bledsue and wife, Bonnie, all of Fort Worth; 20 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Hallsburg.
