Betty Burton

Betty Lou Burton, 61, of Arlington died Thursday, December 27, 2007, at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. Betty was born August 17, 1946 in Hillsboro, where she lived while growing up, the daughter of Claude Emory and Bessie Jane Sheffield Thomas. For the past 22 years she lived in Arlington. She loved traveling and experiencing new adventures and sights. Betty was very outgoing and never met a stranger. A dedicated mother, she raised four children on her own. Her family was her life. She was a self-employed business owner. Preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters, and two brothers. Survivors incldue four children, Judy Ann Dodds and husband, William; Bobby Edward Burton and wife, Kandi; Janet Louise Rios; and Charles Emory Burton and wife, Susan, all of Arlington; two brothers, Billy Joe Thomas of Hillsboro and Billy Ray ?Red? Thomas of Rendon; 12 grandchildren, Lucas Burton, David Burton, Robert Burton, Christopher Snell, Tiffany Burton, Amanda Burton, Courtney Burton, Alex Alvarado, Brandi Burton, Donnie Alvarado, Hailey Burton, and Joseph Alvarado; and three great-great grandchildren, Jordyn Burton, Leah Snell, and Charlee Burton.
