Betty Carter

Betty Blue Carter, 74, of Whitney, died, Thursday, July 14, 2005, at Providence Health Care Center in Waco. Betty was born February 23, 1931 in Cleburne, Texas the daughter of George Burton and Lorine Renfro Blue. She lived in Alvarado most of her life. She married Billy Ray Carter. Betty was a member of the VFW in Alvarado and American Legion in Cleburne where she served as administrator and bartender. She attended House of Prayer in Whitney. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; two brothers, Ted Blue and A. D. Blue; and two sisters, Billie Harris Wynelle Phillips. Survivors include six children, Dusty Rhodes of Whitney, Greg Rhodes, Danna Jackson, Jackie Pool of Cleburne, David Jackson, and Debbie Walston of Whitney; a sister-in-law, Cleo Blue of Cleburne; two very special kids, Susie Deal of Whitney and Linda Thomas of Whitney; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
