Betty Deluca

Betty Payne DeLuca, 50, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, November 16, 2005, in Hillsboro. Betty was born January 31, 1955 in El Paso, Texas the daughter of James Rufus and Ruby Foster Payne. In 1973 she graduated from Abbott High School and received an Associates Degree in Nursing from Hill College. After high school she served in the United States Army. She worked as the secretary for the Hillsboro Public Works Department and as an LVN at Hill Regional Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Eastern Star Chapter #769 in Hillsboro, and the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department. Preceded her in death was her father, James Payne, in 1984 and a niece, Kelly Payne, in 2003. Survivors include her mother, Ruby Payne of Hillsboro; her son, James DeLuca and wife, Vanessa of Itasca; two brothers, James W. Payne and wife, Rosemary, of Whitney and Willie C. Payne of Springfield, Missouri; a granddaughter, Amanda; a grandson, Tyler; nephew, Jason Payne; and great-nephew, Nykolas Payne. Memorials may be made to the Eastern Star Chapter #769 or the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department.
