Betty Sue Taylor, 89, of Lakeside Village, passed away on November 26, 2022, at Town Hall Estates in Whitney. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, December 5, 2022, at Whitney Memorial Park, with Rev. Jo Lynn Davis officiating.  She will lie in state from Noon to 5:00 pm Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Betty was born on October 25,1933, in Dover, Arkansas, to James and Bertha (Taylor) Martin. On May 5, 1950, she was united in marriage to John Thomas Taylor, Jr. in Whitney. She was a long time and highly respected employee of First State Bank of Rio Vista, where she served in several capacities. Sewing, embroidery, cooking and canning were just a few of her passions. Betty was also a member of Towash Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three older brothers.

Betty is survived by her sons, Larry Taylor and wife, Susan of Azle, and Gary Taylor and wife Lesa, of Lakeside Village; brother, Bill Martin and wife Mary of Dover, Arkansas; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
