Bettye Ryno

Bettye Simpson Ryno of Whitney passed away peacefully on May 18, 2008 at Goodall Witcher Nursing Facility in Clifton, Tx. with her loving daughter, Renee Fossett, and beloved nieces, Glenda Braud and Rita Zimmerman by her side. Bettye was born March 17, 1933 in Whitney, Tx. the daughter of James Perry and Mamie Adeline Ivy Shelley. She grew up in Whitney and graduated from Whitney High School. She married Wilburn Earl Simpson, Sr. and later married Herschel Ryno. Bettye worked for Walls Manufacturing, Bush's Grocery and Whitney ISD. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Wiburn Simpson, Sr., an infant son, Wilburn Earl Simpson, Jr.; three brothers, James Shelley, Darrell Shelley, and W.A.Shelley and one sister, Oma Dell Young.
