Beverly Kaddatz, 74, of Hillsboro passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, January 25, 2016, at Lakeshore Village Healthcare Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28, at Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Michael Nemec officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Malone. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Born October 12, 1941 in the Hickory Flat community southwest of Aquilla, she was the daughter of Charles and Edna (Kerley) Pritchett. As a small child, Beverly moved with her family to Hillsboro where she attended school. She was baptized as a teenager at Walnut Street Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Following her union of marriage to Eugene Kaddatz on May 15, 1960 at Salem Lutheran Church in Malone, she was confirmed in that church on May 6, 1961. The couple moved to Grand Prairie in 1966 and she attended beauty school while there. Always the caregiver for her family, Beverly and Eugene moved back to Hillsboro in 1978 so that she could care for her ailing mother. She later worked as a x-ray technician and rehab and physical therapist in her brothers’ chiropractic practices for several years. A talented artist who enjoyed painting in oils, she also enjoyed ceramics and all crafts. Beverly was a faithful member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. The glue that kept her family together, Beverly prayed for her family daily and diligently studied her Bible.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 55 years, Eugene Kaddatz of Hillsboro; children Dennis Kaddatz and wife, Lyn, and Sheila Bowman and husband, Mark, all of Hillsboro; three brothers, Charles Pritchett and wife, Betty, of Fort Worth, Gary Pritchett and wife, Sherry, of Whitney, and Jerry Pritchett and wife, Chery, of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren Phillip Bowman and wife, Holly, of Plano, Ethan Bowman and wife, Gayle, of Hillsboro, Lindsey Martin and husband, John, of Killeen, Spencer Gunnels and husband, Cameron, of Germany, and Tyler Bowman of Waco; great-grandchildren, Collin Bowman, Macen Martin, and soon to be born, Autumn “Peanut” Gunnels; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
