Bill Cunningham was born on Cross Street in Hillsboro, Texas on December 26, 1928 to Clarence Marvin and Mary Virginia Leatherwood Cunningham. Soon after graduating from Hillsboro High School he entered the construction business. On June 14, 1947, he and Jean Ann Moffett were married in Hillsboro. In the early 1950's he started Cunningham Constructiion Company which he ran until retiring in 1991. He was a Methodist. He lived in Hill County most of his life, until moving to Navarro County in March of 1995. He enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. He enjoyed hosting family gatherings and being with his grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Doris Stokes on November 15, 1972. Survivors include his wife, Jean of Hubbard; children, Gene Cunningham and wife, Debby of Hillsboro, Paul Cunningham and wife, Nancy of Richardson, Joe Cunningham and wife, Mary Ann of Hillsboro, Victoria L. Cunningham of Olympia, WA., Terry Cunningham and wife, Kathy of Hillsboro; brother, Charles W. Cunninhgam of Hillsboro; sisters, Ann Bowman and husband, Garry of Hillsboro, Pat Land of Hubbard; 19 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren with another on the way, and a number of nieces and nephews.
