Bill Wiginton

Bill Wiginton, 67, of Arlington passed away January 5, 2021, in a Fort Worth hospital.  Bill will be laid to rest next to his father and mother, James and Charlene, and his brothers, Jim and Rickey, at Turner Cemetery in Itasca, TX. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Turner Cemetery.  Mr. Wiginton will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until Noon Saturday, January 9, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Bill Michael Wiginton was born on November 14, 1953 in Cleburne, TX. He grew up in Itasca, TX where he graduated high school in 1971.  Bill left Itasca to study business at the University of Texas at Arlington.  Bill’s love of business and entrepreneurship led him to starting his first business shortly after college.  WW Tree Farms, the business he founded more than 35 years ago in North Dallas, was his legacy while the family “farm” in Itasca was his love.  Every Friday evening, you could find Bill and his closest friends and family members enjoying time together at the farm.  Bill, aka “overkill Bill”, was known to everyone as a person who loved to overdo and over engineer everything, and the family farm was his masterpiece.  Bill could and often did build anything that he could dream up at his shop, where he had acquired enough tools to earn him a golden ticket to Home Depot HQ.  His generosity and love of spending time with family and friends will be missed by all.  Bill married Belinda, the love of his life, in 2005 and spent the rest of his years by her side.

He is survived by his only son, Will Woodring and wife Lacey, stepson Jimmy Nelson and daughters Jade and Eden, nephew Taylor Wiginton and wife Tiffany Wiginton, niece Casie Wiginton, Sister-in-law Georgia Wiginton and daughter Rikki Mason along with Sean Burke and their newborn Beckett Burke.
