Billie Attys Clendennen, age 77 of Whitney passed away peacefully in Hillsboro. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney with Dr. Tim Morrow officiating. A Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors chapel in Whitney.
Billie was born July 11, 1944, in Hillsboro, Texas to Coy and Vera (Hinton) Mitchell. She was born and raised in Hillsboro. Billie was united in marriage to David Clendennen in 1965. Together they had 2 sons, Tony and Toby Clendennen. She was a lifelong Baptist church member. Billie worked as a housewife and mother for 55 years. She kept an immaculate home and loved being a grandmother. Billie also excelled at providing love and care for her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Luanne Morrow; sister, Bertha Ryan; and brother, Clayton Mitchell.
Billie is survived by her husband, David Clendennen from Whitney; sons, Tony Clendennen of Whitney and Toby Clendennen and wife Gayle of Grandview; sister, Coylene Emory of Grandview; granddaughters, Kayla Clendennen, Karah Mitchell and husband Tanner, and Kyndal Clendennen all from Grandview; grandson, Daylon Clendennen of Whitney; and 3 great grandsons, Ian, Owen, and Emmett Mitchell all of Grandview.
